RMS Girl's Volleyball Wins Championship!

RMS Girl's Volleyball Wins Championship!

The AAA Middle School Girls Volleyball Final took place March 7 at Kezar Pavilion with Roosevelt downing Lawton 2-0. The Trojans jumped out to a quick lead in the first set en route to a 25-12 win. Lawton woke up in set number two taking a 13-7 lead, however Roosevelt stormed back with 8 straight points then cruised to a 25-19 win and a sweep of the previously undefeated Lions. The Trojans victory earns the Richmond District school their first ever volleyball title! The Flo Hyman award was also presented to the top players from each team as voted on by the league coaches in attendance. This year's winners (pictured above) are Kristen Zee of Roosevelt and Gianna Shami of Lawton. Congratulations to both girls on their exemplary play and to both teams on very successful seasons!
